Vanesa is originally from Southern California. She moved to Arizona to pursue her PhD in clinical psychology at Arizona State University. She attended the University of California Los Angeles for her undergraduate studies. Vanesa is able to provide services for children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 18-25). She is able to provide individual as well as group therapy. Her expertise in parenting skills, coping skills, self-regulation and subsequent emotional/behavioral disorders, and cultural stressors has allowed her to practice in various settings including community mental health agencies, university counseling centers, and Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where she remains actively affiliated. Vanesa has also published and presented at national and international conferences in her area of expertise.
In her spare time, she enjoys exploring Arizona’s hiking trails, cooking, and trying new art projects.
